RE
In our last SIAMs inspection (2023), the report said that ‘RE has high priority in the school’s curriculum and development plans’. It also said that, ‘The well-balanced curriculum gives pupils an appreciation of diversity and an understanding of a range of religions and world views’. We are a Church of England voluntary aided school and follow the new Manchester Diocese syllabus. Our pupils are encouraged to learn about religious traditions and reflect on religious concepts and values. We have strong links with ‘All Saints Church’ and we join together for celebrations throughout the year.
Our school values are love, truth, forgiveness, hope, kindness and respect. These values underpin every aspect of our lives together. We are an inclusive school that values and respects the cultural and religious diversity of our pupils. Pupils at our school have the opportunity to visit a church and a mosque as part of the curriculum.
Further information about the teaching of RE can be found in the R.E Policy.
