Computing

Modern technology is changing at an amazing rate and we need to prepare our pupils for a world we do not yet know!

Pupils at All Saints’ receive regular computing lessons in addition to using laptops, iPads and digital cameras to support their learning in all curricular subjects. The school has invested heavily in updating ICT hardware and pupil resources. Wi-Fi has been installed throughout the school to facilitate the use of mobile devices.

The core topic of computing lessons is computer science, in which pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work, and how to put this knowledge to use through programming.

Online safety is an extremely important aspect of computer literacy and our pupils are taught to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; recognise acceptable/unacceptable behaviour; identify a range of ways to report concerns about content.
