World Book Day 2026
The children took part in World Book Day with great enthusiasm, dressing up as an adjective of their choice. Our chosen book was The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier, a historical fiction text set in WW1.
World Book Day Parade
Key Stage 1 and 2 met in the hall this morning to parade in our costumes. We all came dressed as adjectives. There were some fantastic costumes and some brilliant vocabulary shared. Thank you everyone for all your effort.

Today in Science, we looked at the different components of blood and made our own blood soup using some common food items to represent the different components.
Investigating Flowers
As part of our work on the life cycles of plants and animals, we had a look at the male and female parts of a flower. To help us understand and learn our new vocabulary, we dissected daffodils and lilies to identify the different parts within them.
