This year we have changed the way our Library works. All fiction and non-fiction books are now together to enable children to take non-fiction books home as well as fiction. We feel this will help greatly especially with homework tasks and also home reading using different types of books for different interests.

We have a new seating area with a lovely carpet and cushions ideal for storytime. We also have some lovely art work displayed and our 3 large canvases that were painted by the children after winning a school competition.

We have our Rainbow Reader section that is designed for use by years 2 and 3. These books are designed to ease the transition from KS1 books to KS2 books.

Our free reader section is available to children who have completed the school reading scheme. The children can choose from a wide variety of books .

These books are split into different genres:

March 2018

We are very proud to announce the opening of our new library and interactive room! This lovely space is to combine the wonder of books alongside a visual interactive experience. There is space for quiet reading and also large group storytime. Classes can immerse themselves in a wonderful interactive world that can be linked to their topics that they are learning about. We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Barber for working so hard through the planning and installation of our Library. The children will enjoy this beautiful new space that has been created in school.
