On Heritage day we visited All Saints' Church. We had the chance to explore the Church and learnt a bit about it's history. We learnt that All Saints' Church has a very special birthday this year - it will be 150 years old in November! We completed a teddy bear hunt and learnt about the different parts of the Church. We also learnt about stained glass windows - that they tell stories from the Bible. When we got back to school we made our own stained glass windows!
In our PE lessons we have been doing gymnastics. We have learnt lots of different shapes including the tuck, pike, star, straddle and dish. We have been practising these shapes and jumping off apparatus in some of these shapes!
In our topic work we have been learning about the life of the famous artist, L.S. Lowry. We have learnt that he used dark colours. We also learnt that he like to paint very simply, often including match stick men, women, children, cats and dogs in his paintings. Take a look at our art work inspired by Lowry.
Our Halloween disco was SpOoKtAcUlaR!!! We all had a great time and a big thank you to the Friends of All Saints' for helping out and providing the yummy treats!
We wore spots and raised lots for Children in Need!
After learning about how people from the Netherlands celebrate Christmas, we made some elf boot stockings! Take a look at how we made them...
It’s Christmas Party time!!!!
