As part of our 'Marvelous Me' topic we have been having lots of fun in science exploring our 5 senses.

As part of our 'Marvellous Me' topic we have enjoyed creating skeletons from Playdough and painting ourselves as skeletons for our display.

In numeracy we have been exploring the properties of 2D shapes. We went on a shape hunt in our classroom and made shape pictures.

n history we have been exploring old and new toys. We made a cup and ball toy like those played with by Victorian children a long time ago

Children in Need: We had a lovely day, dressed up in spots, made Pudsey ears and raised lots of money for children in Need.

Halloween Disco. we had good fun at the Halloween disco, dressing up in scary costumes and playing party games.

In maths we have been exploring position and direction. We have learnt about whole turns, half turns and quarter turns as well as how give clear directions to our partners.  

Florence Nightingale from the freshwater theatre company visited us and told us all about her life as a nurse. We really enjoyed meeting her!


We have been learning about Mary Seacole who also helped soldiers in the Crimean War. We had lots of fun practicing bandaging 'patients' and finding out what bandages were.

In science we have been looking at the changes in plants and trees over the seasons. We looked around our school grounds and found a variety of leaves.
